Welcome weary traveler to the Exchange Student's Survivial Guide, your essential guide to learning what you need to know as an exchange student going abroad. In this case, the focus of this website is upon Japan (since that is the only place I, myself, have traveled as an exchange student and hosted exchange students from). Hopefully, in the future, this website will expand with stories of other exchange students and essential resources and country specific information for those interested in traveling abroad an enriching their lives.

At this website you fill find information about the exchange program I went through (AFS) and their history to pictures I took from my experience over there. Also, some articles of my experiences, from the good and bad, as well as information about their culture and useful links to find out more information from.

Finally, I hope that everyone will enjoy their stay and have fun learning about my year abroad, from the fun times, to the mistakes, to the many learning exerperiences I picked up along the way.
